The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has officially started the registration process for the Combined Graduate Level (CGL) Exam 2025 from June 9, 2025, and interested candidates can now apply online.

Application Process for SSC CGL 2025

With the SSC CGL Notification 2025 Released Today, the commission has activated the application link on its new portal. The process to apply is completely online. Here’s a step-by-step guide to fill the form:

  1. Visit the official SSC website: ssc.gov.in
  2. Click on “New User? Register Now” for one-time registration (OTR).
  3. Fill in personal details like name, mobile number, email, address, and education details.
  4. Upload scanned images of your photograph and signature as per the format.
  5. Login using the credentials received post-registration.
  6. Complete the application form with preference of post, exam center, etc.
  7. Pay the application fee of ₹100 via UPI, net banking, debit/credit card.
  8. Download and print the submitted form for future use.

Note: Women candidates and candidates belonging to SC, ST, PwD, and Ex-Servicemen categories are exempted from paying the fee.

SSC CGL 2025 Eligibility Criteria

To apply for SSC CGL 2025, candidates must fulfill the following:

  • Education Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in any stream from a recognized university.
  • Age Limit: Generally, between 18 to 32 years depending on the post (age relaxation applies to reserved categories as per government rules).
  • Citizenship: Must be an Indian citizen or as mentioned under SSC norms.

Application Fee Details

  • General/OBC/EWS: ₹100
  • SC/ST/PwD/Ex-Servicemen/Women: No Fee
  • Correction Fee:
    • First time correction: ₹200
    • Second time correction: ₹500

SSC CGL 2025 Exam Pattern

The exam will be held in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode. The selection will be done through four tiers:

  • Tier-I: Preliminary CBT (Objective)
  • Tier-II: Main CBT (Objective)
  • Tier-III: Descriptive Paper (Offline, if applicable)
  • Tier-IV: Skill Test/Document Verification

Tier-I will include General Intelligence, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, and English Comprehension. Each section will have 25 questions, and each question will carry 2 marks.

Recruitment for Other Posts: SSC Stenographer C & D 2025

Along with the SSC CGL Notification 2025, SSC has also released recruitment details for 261 posts of Stenographer Grade ‘C’ and ‘D’. The minimum qualification is 12th pass, and the last date to apply is June 26, 2025. The exam for stenographer posts will be held from August 6 to August 11, 2025.
