MONA M03 Max is Priced at an affordable Price Of RMB 155,800 (around $21,500), this car delivers a punch with futuristic looks, AI-powered tech, and more than 50 official color combos to match every mood.

XPeng MONA M03 Max is a Car Built for Gen Z

XPeng reports that 90% of MONA M03 buyers are under the age of 35. That explains the funky design, rich tech features, and wild customizations. This isn’t your typical electric sedan—it’s more of a “digital lifestyle capsule” on wheels.

From candy purple to ocean cyan, the M03 Max offers more than 50 color combinations—inside and out. That means no two MONA Max cars need to look the same. The idea is simple: Gen Z drivers want personalization, and XPeng is giving it to them straight from the factory.

The MONA M03 Max also comes with three new exterior colors, three fresh interior shades, two wheel options, and glowing AI blue lights on the side mirrors. It’s the kind of car that turns heads on the street—or in your Instagram story.

XPeng MONA M03 Max is Loaded With Smart Tech

The biggest upgrade in the XPeng MONA M03 Max isn’t just its flashy paint—it’s what’s inside.

The Max variant features XPeng’s Turing AI Driving Assistance System, which brings high-level smart driving functions without the use of expensive LiDAR sensors. Instead, it uses a vision-only system powered by seven high-definition cameras and dual NVIDIA Orin-X chips.

Here’s what it can do:

  • Navigate both city traffic and highways using smart autopilot
  • Perform valet-style parking with AI-based assistance
  • Offer scenario-based driving suggestions, based on your habits and surroundings

And all of this is tied into XPeng’s Tianji Smart Cockpit—an upgraded digital experience that’s more than just voice commands. The cockpit responds to scenarios like route planning, cabin comfort, and in-car entertainment. Plus, it can get smarter over time with over-the-air (OTA) updates.

XPeng MONA M03 Max is Built for Long Drives

The XPeng MONA M03 Max isn’t just tech-savvy—it’s also comfortable.

The front seats come with triple-airbag lumbar support to reduce back strain on long drives. XPeng claims it’s “class-leading” in the compact EV segment.

There’s also a 1.22-square-meter panoramic sunroof, treated with a UV-blocking layer that keeps out 99.9% of ultraviolet rays. Whether it’s sunny or rainy, the cabin will always remains cozy.

A unique feature worth noting is the electric liftback tailgate, typically found in more premium vehicles. The full-width electric air vents offer even airflow, enhancing the cabin’s cool factor (literally and visually).

XPeng MONA M03 Max Performance and Range

The MONA M03 Max is powered by a 62.2 kWh LFP (lithium iron phosphate) battery, offering a CLTC-rated range of up to 580 kilometers (about 360 miles). That’s impressive for a car at this price.

The 160 kW motor delivers 250 Nm of torque, giving it a good mix of efficiency and power. It’s no race car, but it can zip around city traffic and cruise highways comfortably.

For charging, XPeng promises a quick top-up: from 30% to 80% in just 26 minutes using fast charging. That’s ideal for Gen Z drivers on the go, whether they’re commuting, exploring, or simply out for fun.

XPeng MONA M03 Max Price

At RMB 155,800 (around $21,500), the XPeng MONA M03 Max offers premium features at an affordable price. While it’s 36,000 yuan more than the base version, the upgrades in tech, comfort, and driving intelligence make it a solid deal.

Some might point out the torsion beam rear suspension is a step down compared to multi-link setups in more expensive cars. But XPeng is clearly targeting a budget-conscious crowd that values software and design over high-end mechanical parts.

XPeng’s Winning Strategy for 2025

XPeng has been on a roll. In April 2025, it delivered 35,045 vehicles, with the MONA M03 accounting for over 14,000 units—about 41% of its total monthly sales. That kind of traction shows the MONA series is hitting the right notes with the youth.

With the MONA M03 Max launching in XPeng showrooms on May 21 and full sales rolling out by the end of May, expectations are high. XPeng is already forecasting over 200,000 MONA units sold by year’s end.
